Kim Thrift - REALTOR®
In 2001, the opportunity to expand on my career in Aerospace & Defense Aftermarket sales brought my husband (Matthew) and I from South Florida to Greenville. My love of airplanes stems from growing up in a military lifestyle as a child to an Air Force Veteran of 24 years. However, “Home” was wherever we were stationed every 3-5 years. It was now time for my husband and I to choose where “Home” was going to be; and with my parents in Virginia and my in-laws in Alabama, we wanted to be close to both sets of parents. The Upstate seemed like the perfect spot; so we made the move in 2001 and have remained Anchored In The Upstate ever since. We are in love with the Upstate’s charm and family-oriented communities and proudly call the Greater Greenville area “HOME.” This sense of belonging and pride in my community ignited my passion to become a REALTOR® to work with home buyers/ sellers and new comers to become Anchored In The Upstate.
My husband, Matthew, is a Broker-In-Charge of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices, C. Dan Joyner REALTORS® North Pleasantburg and Greer offices. We have two beautiful daughters born here in Greenville (currently ages 10 & 11). We also have three dogs (two are rescues) and a cat (adopted from the Humane Society), and two guinea pigs named Peanut and Mohawk. Our friends jokingly say we own a zoo!
When not helping Upstate home buyers/sellers, I enjoy spending time with my family, attending church where I volunteer in our Children's Ministry, blogging, and volunteering for community projects.
My favorite community project is my blog called The Faces of The Golden Strip. I get to know the great PEOPLE that make up our COMMUNITY family and I have the priviledge of sharing their stories to You and to the World...One Smiling FACE at a Time. To follow the movement or nominate someone that lives or works in the Golden Strip area (Mauldin, Simpsonville, or Fountain Inn) check out: https://thefacesofthegoldenstrip.com
